In an effort to encourage local youths to complete secondary and collegiate education as a road to advancement, the LEADE Foundation, in conjunction with the Fredericksburg Alphas, will be coordinating an HBCU Bus Tour making stops at Virginia Union, Virginia State, and Norfolk State. The Bus Tour will be held on March 16, 2023 and will depart from 4240 Plank Road, Fredericksburg at 8:00 am. The cost is $65/student.
Historically Black Colleges and Universities were the only ones that were open to people of color. Today, they give thousands of students the opportunity to pursue a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree, or a Ph.D. in an environment that fosters, encourages, and expects black excellence.
