Saturday, January 25, OAL and the LEADE Foundation will present awards to 1st and 2nd place winners of the MLK Jr Art Contest “What Does Freedom Mean to Me.” We have participation from over 30 Students from Fredericksburg Schools, where their Art was displayed in the Spotsylvania Town Center Mall. Dr. Marceline Catlett, Fredericksburg City Public Schools’ 25th Division Superintendent will join us for the presentations.
This contest encourages students to explore and express their understanding of freedom and its significance through art inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy and vision of equality and justice.
